Lake Tahoe audiences laugh it up at The Improv at Harveys. Budd Friedman's legendary comedy showcase is on stage at The Harveys Cabaret theater and at the legendary South Shore Room. The format calls for exciting new comics every week.

In 1975, he moved operations to the West coast and opened The Improv on Melrose Avenue. Scores of youing comics got their start and hones their skills on The Improv's stage. Steve Martin, Lily Tomlin, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Martin Mull, Elayne Boosler, Dana Carey, Andy Kaufman, Jerry Seinfeld, Robin Williams, David Spade and Jim Carrey are just some of the now-famous comedians who developed their acts at The Improv. Funnyman Howie Nave is host and emcee for all shows.
The Improv is on-stage in the South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe Wednesdas & Thursdays, November 4 to December 17.
On Fridays & Sundays catch the comedy at Harveys Cabaret at 9 PM, and there are two shows on Saturday at 8 PM and 10 PM, also in Harveys Cabaret.
In addition to this great line up and venues, guests of Harrah's and Harveys hotels will receive two complimentary Improv tickets in their key packets, for Wednesdays or Thursday shows only, through December 17, 2009.
We're not forgetting the Tahoe locals* either. Through December 17, 2009, you can purchase tickets to The Improv at the Harrah's South Shore Room box office for $10 (plus taxes and fees). The box office is open Wednesday and Thursday from 4 PM to 9:30 PM.
* Must show valid local ID, where local means living in the Tahoe Basin, Minden, Gardnerville, Genoa or Carson City.
