It was 1959 and Straw Hat’s creation was unlike any other pizza.  With its layered, crispy crust, the freshest toppings, light sauce, and six kinds of naturally aged cheese, Straw Hat’s California pizza was crispier and tastier, and it satisfied the “Left Coast’s” appetite for fresher, lighter, and more unique offerings.  Little did anyone realize at the time, but Straw Hat was on the cutting edge of a taste trend that would last more than five decades.

Straw Hat Sports Bar & Grille opened it’s door a year ago and was quickly referred to as “the Local’s” Sports Bar.  With 20 large HDTVs, a 72” HDTV, over $20K worth of sports memorabilia on the walls, special Dish® televised sports packages and 12 ice-cold beers on tap, this is a true sports bar.

Chef Kevin Carins chooses to use local butcher, Overland Meat Co. to cook up ½lb fresh burgers.  Pastas, Pizzas, Garlic Parmesan Groovy Twists, Chicken Wings hand tossed in your favorite sauce, Hot Hat Sandwiches fresh cut French fries and more are all made to order.  Every pizza is made to order with fresh dough, a California vine-ripened tomato sauce, six naturally aged California cheese, local produce and premium meats with zero trans fats.  And don’t forget the guest favorite: our 32 topping market fresh salad bar.
